We currently broadcast 24/7 Sky 673, Freesat 817, & Freeview 85 as well as streaming Live in HD though IPTV technology online at www.thecraftstore.com. Broadcasting live for 15 hours a day, we offer a huge variety of shows and products. Our website is fully transactional and our in-house call centre with Sales and Customer services is open from 6am to 11pm.

Launched in August 2015 we now have a 140 strong team across all departments. We outsource very little as we pride our self in Hochanda staff providing Hochanda services to the Hochanda consumer. This we feel is the best way to see the passion throughout and ensure it reaches the end user. We are very proud of the team we have who have come from all corners of the Direct Response, Shopping TV, and Retail industry. Hochanda allows our team to really spread their wings and stretch their imaginations to bring the best out of their skills and experience.

INBOUND SALES & CUSTOMER SERVICES ADVISER

Description:

We are recruiting for our busy contact centre, based in Oundle near Peterborough. You will be working as part of our inbound contact centre team taking a mix of sales calls and customer service calls.

Three different shift patterns available - working five-days out of seven, 7.00- 15.00, 14.00 – 22.00 or 18.00 – 22.00 which includes weekend working.

Main duties include:

  • To place customer orders and strive to resolve all customer enquiries at first point of contact, primarily by telephone but also by correspondence and email.
  • Handle any customer service queries to satisfaction.
  • Identify and maximize sales opportunities through cross selling and up selling through a sale by service approach.
  • Maintain knowledge on; products, procedures, and policies so a consistent high level of service can be provided to customers across all shifts.
  • Identify, resolve, and record customer complaints.
  • Working as part of a team to achieve individual and department KPI’s and SLA's.
  • Undertake customer surveys as required.
  • Other duties as required.

Desired Skills:

  • Previous call centre experience with a sales background desirable, yet not essential as full training will be given.

GALLERY PRODUCER

Description:

We are looking for a talented Gallery Producer to join our enthusiastic team to plan, deliver editorial content and deliver hourly live shows to maximise sales potential for our live output.

This role is on a seven-day fortnight shift pattern.

Main duties include:

  • Maximize sales by cross selling upsell items and monitoring live sales data, adjusting the live show format where necessary to capitalize on potential sales and increased ‘basket’ spend.
  • Has a full understanding of the full production process and limitations, reacting to and problem solving
  • Attends forward planning meetings, preps with buyers to ensure accurate product knowledge is ascertained.
  • Develops Creative formats, builds guest relationships and confidence to ensure educational and successful demonstrations are delivered and extra studio requirements are acknowledged.
  • Identify all products USP’s and construct a clear show format to be delivered to the TV team during the pre-production meeting.
  • Briefs presenters to ensure successful show format and accurate product knowledge is achieved.
  • Supports Presenters throughout shows whilst adopting the role of the viewer ensuring all product information is delivered accurately and concisely. Consistently promoting and managing audience interaction.
  • Exercises creative flair to ensure that channel branding, identity and motto is retained.
  • Works under own initiative and juggles multiple tasks in order to prioritise daily responsibilities.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience of working within a Production role within shopping television.

FLOOR MANAGER

Description:

You will ensure the safe running of the studio floor during all live and pre-recorded output. To prepare product, demonstration, and risk assessment for shows.

Main duties include:

  • Ensure all samples for shows, including variants where appropriate are ready and air worthy.
  • Ensure all housekeeping standards are adhered to.
  • Ensure effective and timely handover of information to colleagues on own and opposite shifts
  • Contribute to a supportive, positive, and efficient team environment between shifts by demonstration of appropriate behaviours
  • Drive own development through effective training plans and contribution to 1-2-1’s and appraisals.
  • Carry out any other duties as required.
  • Assisting guests on the show bringing in equipment show demos samples from car/backstage etc.
  • Help assist in kitchen shows and de-prep, washing up etc.
  • Checking that equipment, e.g., microphones and earpieces, are working before the show.
  • Referring/Drawing up floor plans for certain shown.
  • Controlling the studio and halting production if necessary due to health and safety requirements.
  • Relaying instructions from the studio floor using a talkback system to the gallery.
  • Keeping the director and producer informed of action off-camera.
  • Assisting in the planning and preparation of shows.
  • Rehearsing/ Flooring screen tests with feedback to the relevant person.
  • Giving cues and time counts to presenters and guests.
  • Looking ahead in the programme schedule to anticipate any changes to the set/flooring requirements.

Studio Director

Description:

We are looking for an experienced live Studio Director who will be able to take all elements of Studio production and ensure they all work together to provide an effective sales tool.

This role is on a seven-day fortnight shift pattern.

Main duties include:

  • Responsible for live studio output.
  • Follow Gallery etiquette and protocols.
  • Integrating sound & vision to make good ‘selly telly’.
  • Assessment of visual output from studio including shot framing focus & technical quality.
  • Competent use of VT Playout and Still Store.
  • Comfortable operation of Robotic cameras for all output.
  • Assessment of audio output from studio including correct relative levels of sources and quality of Audio.
  • Working closely with both Producers, Buyers, Backstage and Presenters to ensure the aims of the show are met visually.
  • Supervise playback of VT into studio productions.
  • Thoroughly prepping all products before they go to air enabling a good understanding of how to shoot the product in its best light.
  • Working closely with Backstage, Presenters, Guests and Producers to maximise potential revenue.
  • Check VT before programme to ensure they go to air correctly.

Desired Skills:

  • Multi skilled, quick thinker able to work well under pressure.
  • Experience of robotic controlled cameras is an advantage but not necessary.
  • Good communication skills.

New Product Development Buyer/Junior Buyer

Bring on new suppliers from the UK and general craft suppliers from Europe and around the world to add to our current supplier base.

Work closely with the Buying team to cultivate new products at competitive prices for various shows within the schedule.

Main duties include:

  • Proactively source multiple/new suppliers across all the relative and identified product areas within all Hochanda’s buying areas.
  • Find and source new product areas and work with the relevant buying department to help grow the supplier’s product range.
  • Pass through the minimum required amount of new suppliers’ / Product cats in line with KPI’s set out.
  • Proactively identify and attend trade and retail shows both in the UK and abroad to identify new suppliers, trends and areas for growth across all categories within the business.
  • Proactively arrange and attend supplier meetings at Hochanda Head office, to develop new relationships and develop new product ranges and suppliers across your all buying areas.
  • To manage, develop and grow new supplier accounts and deliver the first few shows from start to finish before handing to the appropriate account management team.
  • Monitor trends, market pricing and identify new markets and product opportunities.

Buying Assistant

Description: If you are passionate about starting a career in buying within a fast-paced innovative environment, this is the perfect role for you. We are seeking well motivated candidates with excellent administration skills to be able to communicate at all levels.

You will need to be IT literate a strong team player and be proactive in managing your own time effectively.

Main duties include:

  • Provide accurate, timely and thorough buyer and supplier support across the whole spectrum of product administration.
  • Use numeracy (excel) and text (Word) PC skills to work with your buyer and supplier to input product data accurately, check and cross check data supplied in numerous and different formats and use your initiative to deliver and pool the information on offer to enable the best presentation of data in Hochanda’s set systems.
  • Use in-house reporting and get to learn in-depth knowledge of both internal processes and external supply partner’s processes to maximise your workload time efficiencies.
  • Research and learn product information to check and monitor product information documents supplied via our supply partners and where needed improve and edit to be in line with Hochanda’s demanding levels of detail.
  • Ensure all data entry and product descriptions are accurate, spelt correctly, presented in the correct format and all numerical data is correct.
  • Pro-activity identifies smarter processes and procedures to improve efficiency for Hochanda and your role within the buying department.
  • As requested, attend supplier meetings, take the minutes and follow up and resolve any issues as directed by the Buyer and Supplier
  • Accurately process product set up – start to finish including taking full responsibility to deliver all the required information and data input
  • Ensure all product samples/photography are requested and followed up to ensure sample/imagery are availability in a timely manner
